why does my face look greasy when I wear makeup?

Friday, May 7th, 2010

I’m trying to start a good skin care plan but I need make up because of some scars on my face. My skin looks terribly greasy when taking pictures. i was wondering if it has anything to do with how often i wash the makeup off when i wash it off and if i get regular excersise.

it has been greasy fr years. even if i don’t have acne. if i do a colon cleanse will that help and if you think so then which one should i do?

it only oily when i wear face product though like powder, or pressed concealer. if i’m not wearing any makeup it doesn’t do that.

It’s just your oils surfacing. Try a tinted moisturizer for a base then I would definatlely recommend bare escentuals it helped my skin so much! Plus makes your face look so flawless and tan I love it. Me and my a few of my friends have really oily skin to and bare escentuals has worked so good for us.

try cetaphil face wash I swear it works wonders! I love it so much and it’s actually affordable it’s availible at just about any drug store or grocery, walgreens, rite aid, target, safeway, costco, fredymeyer etc.

try carrying around blotting sheets with you hope this helps!! Try facial mask to for oily skin for me queen helena mint julep mask work so well and cleans up all your oils without drying out your face you have get it once again at just about any drugstore like walgreens.

http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100310&navAction=jump&navCount=0&nug=VPD&skuid=sku307481&id=prod7481

I’ve tried every hundred dollar treatment and some of the cheap stuff I found works the best go figure huh? hahaha

moisturize your face too before you apply makeup but makesure it’s not a heavy cream that will clog your poor once again cetaphil has a good one.

good luck!!

also try a facial primer like from MAC, Smashbox and clinique have some good ones it helps me not get get my face all shiny and your makeup goes on really smoothly.

Can someone give me advice on what to do. 10 points for best advice.?

I took too many vitamins for about a 3-4 month period. The long term effect was that my blood became clouded with the extra vitamins that it blocked the color of my natural skin tone.

If I go to the doctor, is there such a shot he could give me that would reverse or remove all the extra floating vitamins in my blood? I say this because I’ve been doing colon cleanses and drinking tons of water for the past 6 months, and although my skin is almost back to its natural tone, its not quite there and I want to enjoy my summer.

erm well if it has made u pale, u can wear fake tan if ur skin tone hasnt returned, and if it has made ur skin too dark, believe it or not u can get cream that makes ur skin lighter.
carry on drinking loads of water and you can also try a detox diet – or detox tablets(when i went on a detox diet u get a handfull of tiny seeds and swallow them whole with water and they clear out all your veins etc or something)

also u could go to your doctor and ask him
xx

I just thought I would help those out that were on the Depo-provera and are now ttc. This article explains how?

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Depo can stay in your system up to 18mos to help get it out this website suggested these steps

1 Drink LOTS of water: We all know there many health benefits of drinking water. Besides clear skin and weight loss, drinking at least 64 ounces per day can help rid the body of toxins and expel waste stored in the bodies tissue and prevent disease. Adding fresh squeezed lemon to water can help flush toxins out of the body because lemons are a natural diuretic.

Step 2Exercise: At least 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity a day helps increase the blood flow to the organs, muscles and tissues. Exercise helps endorphin levels rise and remove toxins from the body. Sweating also helps remove waste and toxins. Daily walks outside in the fresh air also help the detoxification process.

Step 3 Eat 6-11 (or more!) servings of fruit and vegetables a day: High in fiber to help move your bowels and loaded with anti-oxidants to help your body defend itself from any damaging toxins that enter it. Make sure you wash your produce well or chose organic if possible.

Step 4 Try Acupuncture: A form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that helps rid the body of drug toxins by balancing the body and the mind.

Step 5 Try a colon cleanse: A form of alternative medicine that removes feces and toxins from the colon and intestinal tract. Colon cleansers are composed of a combination of fiber, herbs, supplements and laxatives and can be purchased at your local health food store. Use as directed.

Step 6 Drink detox tea: A combination of herbs used to rid the body of toxins by supporting liver and kidney function. Detox teas are organic and caffeine free and can be found in your local supermarket or health food store.

Step 7Take a detox bath: Soak in a warm bath for 30 minutes with 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of Epsom salt. This helps the body eliminate toxins through the skin. After the bath you will feel refreshed and your skin will be soft and smooth. Rinse off with a cool shower.

Step8Relax in a sauna: Heavy metals and toxins are expelled through the the skin as we sweat. Sitting in a sauna for 10 minutes helps open the pours and detoxifies the body. Consult your health care professional before trying a sauna detox.

Step 9Take Probiotics: Also known as "good bacteria" that are necessary for digestive system health. Probiotics have been said to strengthen the immune system, allowing the body to fight off allergies, exposure to toxins and other diseases. Probiotics can be taken in supplement form, yogurt or shakes.
it’s usually people on the shot not the pill the shot causes the problems cause it leaves stuff behind and does not clear your system

I personally went on the pill for two months to "jump start" my period again after DEPO (on it for three years). It worked for me…I got pregnant the second month after stopping the pill. So I got pregnant pretty quickly after stopping the shot compared to most people.

whats going on with my body?

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

okay. for about a month or so i was taking a combination of vitamin c and niacin. My skin turned whitish, and i was told that it was because I was taking too much VIT. C and that i was producing too much white blood cells. That happened when I stopped taking the niacin with the vitamin c.

NOW, my nurse told me to do a colon cleanse to get the extra vitamin c out of my system, but my skin color hasnt come back yet. I STILL have no pigment in my skin. WHAT IS GOING ON? WHAT CAN I DO?! Ive already gone to get checked out and the doctors said nothing was wrong except I was producing a little more biribulin in my liver.

and whats even more weird is that when i drink water, my skin turns white? Is that because the toxins are coming out of my skin. the depigmentation is ALL OVER MY BODY.

Here is a link that may answer your question:
http://www.pennhealth.com/ency/article/003244.htm

In this article (under tropical treatments
section and also Vitamin C section) it mentions about Vit C inhibiting melanin
production. Melanin is what causes
pigmentation of the skin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_whitening

Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin. That
means it can easily be washed out of the
body through the kidneys. IT may take
a little time for this overdose to be removed
from the body and the melanin to build up again.

If your doctor says your bilirubin level is
going higher, then I would watch to see
if your whites of the eyes or skin turns
a yellow color. This is the first sign of
problems with the liver.

The white blood cells don’t really have
much to do with the color of the skin, they
have a lot to do with repairing the skin
when it is injured.

I hope this info is of some help.

why do antioxidants break me out?

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

First, I noticed it when I drank Lipton Diet Green Tea. Very tender, red, acne type sores on my neck, jawline, and chest. I tried getting rid of them with acne treaments such as tea tree oil and tae fu oil. These did not work at all. They never went away. Then I quit drinking the Green Tea and within a day or two they were gone. Not learning my lesson, I then tried some multi-vitamins with green tea for energy boost. Again, the red sores came back. I quit the multi-vitamin a little faster than the Green Tea, and they went away. Now, I’m trying to make it through a complete colon cleansing regimin and they are back! Can anyone tell me why Green Tea would break me out? Why would the colon cleanser break me out? I’m assuming it’s antioxidants. But shouldn’t they be making my skin look better? Please help!

colon detoxes are not that great for you…

Just go to the doctor and get an allergy test.

most common "anti-oxidants" are vitamin C and vitamin A, both are common and you probably arent allergic to those. My guess is that your body is having trouble metabolizing some of the synthesizes compounds in the cleanser, and you might be allergic to tea extracts. Either way, go do a doctor.

I am 5"5,female,my weight varies from 125-128. My body is mostly muscle.?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

How do i get the extra skin/fat off my inner thighs and tummy? My stomach is muscle and so are my legs but i want to burn the extra stuff. Will going on the treadmill for 30min 3 times a week help flatten my tummy and inner legs? What other things can i do to flatten it? [I am already starting a diet and watching what i eat]

*****no colon cleanse or diet pills.

i dont think you need to lose anymore weight, if you are mostly muscle and is 5′5 with 125 lbs, thats pretty healthy. So dont worry about the extra fat, you are completley fine.

I have a vitamin question/ colon cleanse? that I hope someone can help me with?

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I am currently taking "Hair Skin & Nail’s" by Natures Bounty, I take it as directed (three times a day). I also take an over the counter Iron supplement daily. (Mainly because the Hair Skin & Nail’s, do not have Iron in them). Anyways, I am trying to figure out a way to do an at home colon cleanse or something to clear out my digestion track, and in a way start over. I was thinking about Culturell but that just uses pro-biotics. Any other suggestions on how I can efficiently go about a colon cleanse?

With all due respect, you are wasting a lot of time and money…though I can understand why you would want to do a colon cleanse if you have been supplementing with iron (especially if you don’t need to)! You are essentially loading yourself with water-soluble vitamins that you will just pee out.

30g of fiber daily is about what the guts need to move things along nicely. Most Americans would benefit from simple fiber supplementation. The fad of ‘cleansing’ the colon is truly a misnomer, with many people believing that somehow this will detox the body…it just doesn’t work that way. The practice should be reserved for the day before a colonoscopy.

Which Acai Supplements work best? Colon Cleanse?

Friday, April 16th, 2010

I’ve heard all the rage of the Acai Berry supplements and was about to order the free trial of the AcaiMax Boost, but it’s such a pain cancelling the auto ship and I don’t want to pay $80 every thirty days. Does anyone know of one I can get at the store. Are they just as potent? Has anyone used them and actually had success? I’m wanting to pair the acai with a colon cleanse. I’m really just hoping to cleanse my body and hopefully clear my skin and stop being so constipated. If i loose weight, that’s cool too I suppose.

They are a waste of money and don’t work.

All you need to lose weight is a good healthy diet and exercise :)
