Does anyone know of or has tried a good colon cleanse?

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

I’ve heard that you should do a colon cleanse 1-2 times per year. About 3-4 years ago the doctor told me I had IBS with constipation, he wanted me to take this powder that was spendy and didn’t do anything. I stopped taking it and just accepted that I was constipated all the time. I would be in extreme pain from it. Well about 7 months ago they found cancer in my dad’s colon. They think they got it all and he has been through chemo. That’s when I realized how important it is that I do something about my IBS and that it wasn’t healthy to be sooo backed up. I started to treat it myself. Eating Fiber One bars, drinking extra water, eating lots more fruit and just eating better in general. This has gotten me to be regular. My thing is if normal people have toxins in their colon and body then I know I have A LOT. If I could go back I wouldn’t have let my IBS get so out of control. Does anybody have any recommendations on Colon Cleanse pills. I’ve been googling it for a few weeks and my head is spinning with all the products and reviews out there!

Hi Macy,

First thing, I’m really hope that the got all of your dad’s cancer. Second thing, I think it’s great that you want to address your digestive system now and improve it. 10 years ago, I was in a similar position as you. At that time I discovered the raw food diet which helped me a lot in terms of reducing chronic indigestion. A couple years later I started doing regular colon cleanses. The first I tried was based on herbs and worked very well. Only thing was that it cost $325. To save money, I tried some less expensive powders that absolutely did not work – just like you describe. Then 5 years ago I found a great herbal cleanse product that works about as well as the first one I did and costs a lot less. That’s the one I do and recommend to my friends and family. I can give it my highest praise as quality product from a small company that really cares. I’ll leave you with the link to their site below. Best of luck to you. Mark

Your Colon does not need help cleansing it’s self other than eating a healthy high fiber diet. Even when you don’t eat especially well, your colon is very efficient at keeping it’s self going. In fact, some of the so called "cleansing" treatments can be quite harmful to your body. Stay clear of the woo woo that comes from the so called "health food" movement, there’s nothing healthy in that crazy stuff.

phentermine d..clinicallix..and lipofuze..anyone tried?

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Ok these 3 pills keep showing up and im reading reviews and I’ll see a lot of good reviews and then I’ll also see negative reviews so I dont know. For one I dont have a big appetite in the first place so if its only gonna reduce my appetite that doesnt help but I will be back on my 1200cal when I start taking this (haha its the holidays im waiting til after the holiday to start up eating right again its just asking for failure to start the day b4 christmas with all the good food out there but anyways yea) I will also be working out but it would help if it gave me the energy to workout and also had some fat burning things to speed metabolism and curve cravings (cuz I crave carbs and sweets like crazy but what can I say im a 16yr old female). I know diet pills are useless if u sit on ur butt all day and expect them to work I want them to accompany my diet and excercise and hopefully help me to stay on track. More along the lines of clinicallix cuz I heard phentermine d only works for a few weeks and is highly addictive. As for lipfuze havn’t looked into reviews but on so many sites its in the tops.So anyone tried phentermine d, clinicallix or lipofuze? I DONT WANT ANY SPAMBOTS things telling me about acai or a colon cleanse I want a real testimonial from real people. Thx

Colax. How often can u take them?

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

I have just started taking colax colon cleanse as i have always problems with constipation and bloated tummy and i am gettin married in a few weeks time so hopin to resolve this. the box is confusing me as it doesnt tell you how often you can take them. i have read up on google and still dont know, some people have put in reviews saying they have been takin them one hundred and so days before getting a result. i only take one every two days and i found from the first tablet after a few hours i had to go to the bathroom due to severe cramps and they work great. but how often is safe?? thanks xx

Take this medication by mouth 1 to 2 times daily as directed on the product package.
If your doctor has prescribed this medication, take it exactly as directed. If taking 1 dose a day, take it at bedtime.
Take each dose with a large glass of liquid (8 ounces or 240 milliliters).

Do not use more of this laxative than directed or use it for more than 7 days unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Long-term use (months to years) or use of higher-than-recommended doses may cause very serious health problems.

Can teens use Colon Cleansers?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Im 16, and I want to lose weight. I know how harsh diet pills can be. I have no patience for exercise and cant stick to diets. I saw a review on the Colon Cleanse Pro, am i able to use it? Does it have harsh side effects, and what are they?
I don’t plan on wanting to lose a lot. Im not really fat. I just want to lose around 15- 20 lbs. will colon cleansers help?

Losing weight through a colon cleansing diet is the new popular way to lose weight. We all need a certain amount of fat and protein in our diet, but the key is to balance is out. A colon cleansing diet can help detoxify our bodies. It’s important to remember that a quick one-time solution will likely not do the trick for permanent weight loss. It’s important that we lose the weight slowly and correctly, so that the weight stays off. Fiber is an important part of colon cleansing. Exercise is important to keeping your body healthy and to keep everything working properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a good colon cleanse system?

Has anyone tried Evercleanse?

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Ok, I got this stuff called evercleanse and I have been on website, read every single word on package, and even read reviews and still do not know if I am supposed to take the 3 products in box all together or do 10 days of each resulting in a month. Such as the "cleansing formula" for first 10 days, "Replenish" for next 10 days, and "Colon Health Formula" for next 10 days resulting in a month. All it basically says is once the cleansing formula has began to remove accumulated waste and bad bacteria, the replenishing formula basically replaces the good bacteria that you need. So do you take the cleanse for 10 days and then move on to "replenish" or what??? I mean it just says once it begins, how do I know when it begins? All I know is each "step" has enough to last for 10 days. I mean this stuff doesn’t even say anywhere how long it is to last, even that would help!!!!!! If it was a 30 day program/supply or a 10, I would then know. But then again it says that all of the steps should be taken indefinately!!! This is really confusing…

Throw it out.. I had a friend that tried it did nothing for her , except hit the toilet often.
Besides how would you know if it worked anyway?

Has anyone tried the Acai Berry/Colon Cleanse diet?

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

I desperately need to drop the 50 lbs I have packed on in the past few years of nursing school. Graduation is in one week, and then my wedding is on 9/9/09. I need a good jumpstart to motivate my weight loss attempt and get my energy level up. Heard these were good, but you never can believe the reviews about diet products. Anyone have any personal experience they can share? Good or bad idea? Any tips? THANKS! :o )

From what I’ve read in interviews with trained nutritionists, cleanses don’t work. All they are capable of is helping you lose water weight, which will quickly come back after you go off of it.

I might give something like Alli a try though. I haven’t heard any reviews, but perhaps it will work.

I’m sorry I’m not much more of a help, but I tried a soup diet, hoping to lose only five to ten pounds, and found myself nearly passing out the third day. Try to eat more leafy greens, fruits, veggies, and lean protein like chicken or fish. Switch to water instead of soda. Even if the cleanse does work, I doubt you would drop 50 pounds. Don’t buy into the hype and do it right.
